Art Classes, Anyone???

I've taught a few summer art classes in my home.  Being a teacher, this seems to work out well for me.  I absolutely loved it, and I heard lots of positive reviews from my students and their families.

I've noticed from emails, facebook posts, and people just stopping me in person that there is a real need for regular art classes in our community.  It is my opinion that this void needs to be filled.  I took art lessons as a child and they have forever impacted my life.

I am hoping to offer this service soon.  I do have long tables, chairs, and plenty of supplies.  I've also got lots of fun and educational ideas!  All I need is the space...

My summer art classes were in my home.  This is fine for a few weeks in summer, but it is just not practical for all of the time.  All I need is a simple room with a bathroom and definitely a sink!  I'd be happy to pay rent!

So, this is a call for help!  If you agree with me about the importance of art education and inspiring all of our budding artists, please be on the lookout for the perfect space!

Share this information with anyone who might have ideas or access to a space.  I am open to other suggestions as well!

Look at all of these talented artists!  Thank you in advance for your help and I hope to see you in class!

Eiffel Tower Class Coming Soon!

I had planned an Eiffel Tower class last summer and had to cancel it due that awful ear infection I had.  Thank goodness I finally kicked that!  I promised the little ladies that had signed up for that class that they would have a spot reserved and a discount.  I'm keeping that promise!  I'll let everyone know the finalized date soon.  Don't you just love the inspiration painting?  Gorgeous!

Summer Class Sneak Peek!

My first summer of classes was such a success!  I am so looking forward to another season of fun and painting.  I've got two possible dates in Junes selected.  For the older group, we will be doing mushroom houses based on the image above.  It is going to be soooo cute and have lots of opportunities for custom detail.

For the younger group, we will be doing daisies and focus more on shading and complimentary colors.

No plans for July yet, but I am taking suggestions.  I'll post more details as soon as I have them!  I'm looking forward to it!

Banana Splits: The Class

Abby

Addison

Annabella

Lauren

My last art class of the summer!  This group of banana split girls were sooo sweet to work with.
This is the first time I've offered classes and I had such a good time.  I think I enjoyed even more than the kids!  I am planning on offering a couple of classes this fall and at least one holiday themed class before Christmas.

Thank you so much to all of you who took a class, expressed interest and support, and suggested ideas.  It means the world to me that I am able to do what I love.  I can't wait to see what happens next!

Louis Vuitton: The Class

I LOVED teaching a teen class!  This was my first time painting with kids over the age of 10 and it was so much fun!  The girls all were very talented, patient, and just had such sweet personalities!

You can see how cute their bags turned out.  We did all the backgrounds first and then added all of the details on top.  The little Louis Vuitton logos on the bag were definitely the hardest part!

I know their artwork turned out adorable, but look how cut these girls are, too!  I love their style...the buns, scarves, skinny jeans, and monogrammed tees.  These girls have got it going on!  Let me just tell you, they were every bit as sweet and polite and they are cute.

I am already planning a new teen class.  Stay tuned!

Cinderella's Castle: The Class

The before...

The during...

The after...

I had five little beauties spend Saturday afternoon with me painting castles.  The girls were all so patient and such hard workers!  I am so impressed with their talent!  I had planned a few more banners in the front and fireworks in the sky, but we just ran out of time.  This was an amazing group of girls.  I hope to work with them again soon!

You Can Paint!

Anyone can paint!  I hear "I can't paint" all of the time.  Yes, you can!  You may not think you're able to paint, but many of you haven't tried.  It does take patience and practice, but it can be done.  Even if it doesn't turn out the way you had it pictured, you will be so proud of yourself for the effort.

Right now I am only offering classes to children.  I've have adults express interest.  If I have enough, I will be more than happy to offer classes.  Please let me know if you are wanting to give it a try!

You may surprise yourself!
